a specific musical experience inspired of French and British
tradition (Génération Baroque, J.E. Gardiner orchestral masterclasses)
a whole week of masterclass gathering young musiciens and masters
on the same repertoire and preparing a common concert
– this year the Charpentier’s Te Deum and Messe de Minuit
a whole week of students’ concerts in Kielce
We wish to offer to the participants of this year’s Academia the closest possible contact with the Festival music as well as its masterly interpretation, both instrumental and vocal.
As part of the instrumental Academia musicians will be capable of exploring, among other things, the arcane of French music interpretation, both within the scope of individual lessons and chamber music. They will have an opportunity to give daily concerts to share the acquired experience with the audience. This will be crowned with a shared performance of The Midnight Mass and Te Deum composed by M.-A. Charpentier.
Choral Academia on the one hand will comprise the work on Gregorian chant and Arvo Part’s music, but on the other hand – a unique encounter with Greek Uniate singing tradition.
